And the WINNER is....

DENISE! Congratulations!! If you'll send me your address to anyone@tbaytel.net, I'll get your package in the mail! Thanks for all your comments.

Today's project is a name frame I made for a friend's baby. I love the colours of the new Western Sky DSP! I've made a few with this same layout, so these are getting very quick :) Something about fast projects always makes me happy.

Ingredients:

Western Sky DSP, Blue Bayou Textured CS, Ruby Red, Whisper White, River Rock Prints DSP - paper; Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, River Rock - ink; Well-Worn Alphabet, Wanted, Itty Bitty Backgrounds - stamp sets; hemp, small star punch, 3/4" circle punch, River Rock double-stitched ribbon, Ruby Red brads, 1/8" circle punch, styled silver hodgepode hardware - accessories;

I had to trace the metal label plate because I didn't have the label punch, but it finally got here on Thursday, whoo-hoo! And even though this is supposed to be a stamping blog, I've got to post a picture of my new puppy, Lily. Isn't she the cutest?!

BLOG CANDY!

Hello everyone! Today I'm posting the picture of my first ever blog candy. It includes an Accents & Elements tin, one of last year's Sell-a-bration sets; "So Very", a little, decorated vial of white & silver paperclips with hearts or flowers on them and one of my framed 3D flower pictures.

If you don't know what blog candy is, let me explain. Because I like people coming & looking at my stuff and I want people to leave comments, this is kinda like a thank you draw for people who come & leave comments. I'll put the name of everyone who leaves a comment between March 13 and March 28 in a bucket & then draw a name. That person gets all the stuff listed above :) So add a comment & you could WIN!

Close up of the 3D flower frame:

Happy Card

This was a fun card I made for my friend's birthday. I liked how it turned out :) It's a long card, made from River Rock and I distressed all the edges with River Rock ink. I used a little piece of Ginger Blossom DSP on the end and a strip of Pretty in Pink. I made a row of clear rhinestone brads down the strip and stamped En Francais in River Rock on the card base. The letters were stamped in Groovy Guava with the Big Deal Alphabet and cut out. I edged each letter with the Ruby Red marker. Finally, the top flower was coloured with an aqua painter and Groovy Guava ink and the larger flower was coloured with Ruby Red marker. They were attached with another clear rhinestone brad and a glue dot!

I think it's time for some BLOG CANDY!! I'll post a picture of the treats next week :) I'll draw names from any comments left between now & March 28, so post me a note!!

More Fruitiness

This card is totally CASE'd. The post on splitcoast already has 50 comments, so I guess I'm not the only one who loved it :) Here's the link http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/837586?cat=12786&si=strawberries
I used my white rub ons to create the pattern on the green and my hostess Prints Pack for the red strip of DSP but otherwise it's the same. Isn't it totally GORGEOUS!!! I just keep looking at it and smiling! So pretty!

To create the rub on pattern, I took one of the lines of rub ons & cut it into pieces that would fit the green paper. I evenly spaced the cut pieces and then rubbed. Quite quick & easy.

Fruit

So I'm still on my joyous adventure of creation with my new stuff :) I've been having so much fun with all my new sets from the Occations mini catalogue. This was my first attempt with my Tart & Tangy set. Love the cherry DSP too.

Ingredients:

Real Red, Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP - paper; Tart & Tangy - stamp set; staples, Old Olive brads, 1/2" circle punch, Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Old Olive poly-twill ribbon, Real Red marker, Old Olive marker, Love & Happiness Rub Ons - accessories;

No ink on this card! Just the markers to stamp the cherries. Love how this turned out. I was excitied to use my Old Olive Rub Ons too. (the "For You") I CASE'd a card using the strawberry stamp & it's GORGEOUS!! I'll share it in a day or two :)

Double CASE'd

I got my order from the new Occations Mini Catalogue & I'm in heaven! So many fabulous things!! Here are two cards I CASE'd from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/.

The first is Grandma E's birthday card, it was CASE'd from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/811195?cat=12776

I used glossy paper & created a faux linen background & build-a-brad's with rub-on over top to make the accents. Also got to use my new Prints Pack (hostess level 1) for the swirly background and the build-a-brads.

I think it turned out gorgeous!

Next is a baby card, CASE'd from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/819401?cat=12358&si=stars.

Slightly different colors and a different star stamp. Got to use my new In the Stars set!! I used diamond Stickles for the moon. Card colours are Close to Cocoa, Night of Navy and Bashful Blue. Very easy card, but soo cute!

Ta!

That Gorgeous Shell Set!

This is the one set in the Spring/Summer Catalogue that I HAD to have. I think it's sooo gorgeous! This was my first attempt with the set.
The card base is textured Creamy Caramel. The background is Soft Sky with Cheesecloth (discontinued) stamped on it. I matted a strip of Groovy Guava Prints DSP on Groovy Guava card stock and put three vintage brads on the end. I used Confetti White card stock and stamp the conch in Creamy Carmel. Next I watercolored it using ink & aqua painter. I used Groovy Guava & Blush Blossom ink. To improve the clarity, I stamped the conch again over top in Creamy Caramel. The Stamp-a-ma-jig was necessary for that!! Next I cut my image into tiles and mounted them on a rectangle of Groovy Guava. (This took a while! Make sure you glue down your tiles as you cut so you don't mix them up!) Finally I made a photo corner from creamy caramel & a label. The label was created from the Circle of Friendship set. I stamped it in Groovy Guava & in Creamy Caramel, then punched them out and adhered together. I punched a 1 1/4" circle of Groovy Guava & a large oval of Soft Sky. Added two more vintage brads & finished!

I think I need to add some piercing to the photo corner, but overall I think it's pretty :)
