Give a Scrap About Autism

Very old baby picture of Evan...  I love my blue
cookie monster - made from a scallop punch and some
circle punches.  Also crazy about the silver rub on
from Jenni Bowlin.
This last weekend we had a fundraising scrap for autism.  It was totally awesome!  I can't remember when I had so much fun :)

I didn't really have any specific project to work on, so I just took a bunch of kits and some random photos.  These were the pages I ended up with...
This was made from my most FAVORITE kit - For the Record
by Echo Park.  Cute pictures of the boys... You can dress
them up, but you can't take them out...

And finally some older Christmas pictures.  Had a hard time with these because of all the bright blue.
Ended up avoiding it altogether.  Like how they turned out :)

Mom's Birthday Card - Sixty!?!

Sixty years has my mother passed upon this earth... amazing!  In honour of this occasion, I created this beauty!  It has a bit of this and a bit of that to create the whole :)  The green paper is from the Jackson Garden collection, the brown flocked paper and the brown floral paper are from the Little Boy Blue collection, the cream embossed paper is from the Graceful collection, the kraft doilie is from the Double Dutch collection, the buttons are from the This & That collection and the flower is from the Portobello Rd collection.  The final touch was the some green sticker numbers that I shined up with a VersaMarker and some glossy enamel embossing powder.  I inked the embossed paper and zigzag stitched around it.  I love how this turned out.  This is one of my favourite colour combos too :)

Card I made for Mom's 60th Birthday...

And for the Record...

So, this kit from Echo Park ticks almost every favourite button I have!  I LOVE the colours, LOVE the style, can't seem to stop using this one!!  It has that awesome combination of vintage and office supply, mixed with fresh exciting colours that makes me love it oh, so much.

My favourite part of this first layout is the little shipping tags I cut from the border paper.  Also kinda crazy about the rainbow effect of the background paper while still maintaining the "white-ness".  On the second layout, totally love the vintage camera, the chipboard flower, the ledger background paper and the little alphabet strips.  So happy, me!

Grandma made him... such a naughty boy!

Some old pics... Brody's diaper station was still in the corner
of the living room!

And last but not least, the video production of these beauties :)

A Little of This, a Little of That

So although it's quite late, I'm still posting January's kit stuff now...  Life's crazy.  I think this kit fits perfectly.  It's called This & That, which is basically what everyday consists of...  It's a pretty fun kit and feeds one of my many addictions, rulers.  Not sure what makes me love them so much but I think they're the perfect embellishment for everything.  It's a fairly "girly" kit but I still made boy pages (the two boys and all) and I was pleased with the results.  Have a peek.

I've been hanging onto these pics for a while (Aden's
almost 8 years old now, LOL) because every time I
looked at those pink, red and teal outfits, I couldn't
imagine what paper would match... Ta dah! Found some!!

And the crazy, giggly boy who likes forts used a sheet that
matches this paper perfectly!  Even rulers to match - heaven!

And last but not least, here's the video of these layouts :)  Enjoy!

Holiday cards from Kit Leftovers

Here's also a few Holiday/Christmas cards I've made recently.  I used some of my latest Mistletoe papers & embellishments and then pulled out the leftovers from the Snowfall collection.  I think it's such a gorgeous kit!

Sing me a Sweet Serenade

So December's kit is called Serenade.  It's beautiful.  All rich colours, swirls and beautiful garden themes.  I think the green in this kit is my favourite colour :)  The dragonflies are great too.  One of the sheets has a beige/neutral background with a gorgeous big dragonfly on it.  Have to find the perfect picture before I use it, LOL!  So, for things I actual did make, below are my layouts for this month.  They all went together quite quickly even though I decided I wanted to do the 3D flowers on Ainsley's page.  The best part about BoBunny paper is that even simple layouts look like you spent lots of time on them, :)

My cutie little niece with the perfect dress for this kit!

Love this picture :)  Can't believe my little boy's so
big now!!  I think that tire might still be sitting there :o

And last but not least, a link to the video...

Jingle Bells - BoBunny's Mistletoe Collection

Hi Everybody!!! Halloween's over and I can hear Christmas knocking on my planning calender :) This kit has definitely got me in the Christmas mood! These pages were really easy to make. Everything just seemed to go so easily. I love BoBunny. Every time I use one of their kits I know my pages are going to be easy.

These are older family Christmas pictures.  Both
boys had these adorable shirt that said "'L' is for Lion"
The mouth on the lion opened & said "Roar" inside, hee hee.
I love how serious the conversation between Brody
& Grandpa looks :)

I missed recording the very end of this layout which, of course, included the coolest part.  After adding the rub ons, I used the VersaMarker on random Christmas lights and the star at the top of the tree & then added sparkly embossing powder.  This made glittered spots on my rub on.  Anyway, hope you enjoy the video.
