Another Et Cetera Page

I LOVE the Et Cetera kit even more than I thought I would. Vintage is my thing but I've had soooo much fun making these pages! Here's another page from Evan's adorable baby stage :) This page was such a happy one!

Et Cetera Video

Here's my fun transparency video... Hope you like it.

Stuff from a Scrap Day

After much sweat and hard work, we have finished some of our renovations and finally, for the first time in 8 years, I have my own scrapbook room! It's still a disaster but I can hardly believe I can claim it for myself! Here's a couple things that I've created this week :)
This first image is a two page 8x8 spread from my travel album.

This second picture is a card for one of Evan's little friends. He wanted to give her a "fairy" card so we took the chipboard girl from the Alphabet Soup collection and added some wings made from a butterfly. I love how this card turned out :) The inside says "wishing you a fairy happy birthday"

Et Cetera - December 2011

Phew! I can't believe it's December already!! This month's kit is a great collection called Et Cetera by BoBunny. Totally a vintage kit. I was suprised how easy it was to make kid layouts though. My pages went together quite easily. In the video I made a great page with a painted transparency. I'll post the video in the next day or so... Here's a peek at the kit :)

Christmas Stuff Already :)

Well, the latest kit is out!!  Lost & Found Christmas by My Mind's Eye.  Again, I'm really liking the Lost & Found lines.  The colours are all so rich & exciting.  Here's the video...  Enjoy!

This kit turned out a lot of two page spreads for me :)

More "Little Boy Blue"

This is one of my favorite pictures of my sister & I as little girls.  We always had our picture taken on the cradle my grandpa made when I was born.  It would flip over into a bench and the mattress became a bench cushion.  The green damask paper in the "Little Boy Blue" kit was a perfect match for my mom's curtains, LOL!  I added some pink flowers, some blue prima pearl swirls and some Maya Road animal rub ons.  This was another page I made during the St John Scrap-a-thon.  Love how it turned out :)

I Love Owls

This month's kit is called Little Boy Blue by My Mind's Eye. This kit makes me happy :) I LOVE owls & the tree embellishments rock! I still haven't used my owl paper because it MUST be saved for the perfect thing.... LOL! I only gave myself half a kit this month & still managed to make 6 pages. I have left overs. (see sentence above about owls, hee hee) Here's a look at the kit.

Here's the two page spread from the video...

Hattie Card

I needed a quick card this month so I whipped up this little number with the left overs of my Stella & Rose - Hattie collection :) Hope you like it.

The flower was made with two scallop circle punch outs. I just creased the circle between each bump to the center and then folded them accordian style. Then I glued each of the ends together to form a flower. Super quick & easy. Can't wait to use it in November's video, LOL!

St John's Scrap

On September 9 & 10 St John's Ambulance hosted a fundraising crop. It was awesome!! Not only did we raise money for a great cause but we had a load of fun too! Every ticket included a mini kit of your choice, a Tim Horton's gift card & some great swag :) I chose the Halloween kit
"Blackbird" by My Mind's Eye. Here's the page I made with it:

I had the store set up in a corner booth during the event & I was so excited to see everything out on display :) Normally everything is tucked away - it so much fun seeing all the colours and textures out on show. Here's a couple pics of the booth:

Hattie Pages

I've started a school scrapbook for both boys and I used the Stella & Rose - Hattie collection for Brody's SK pictures. The pages turned out great! I made a pocket in the back of the second page to keep his report cards & a couple special art projects.

I used the "Doodle It Borders - ABC 123" on the journaling tag & the top of the second page. Love these things!! This is the second package I've used from the store... I just seem to use them on everything! http://www.createdwithpaper.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71_82&products_id=712

Rhonda has been designer for the store for a few months now & always comes up with gorgeous pages but I think she's outdone herself this time! I LOVE these baby pages of her daughter. Aren't they great?

Stella & Rose - Hattie Is HERE!!!

I've been dying to use this kit. I've had it ready & waiting for a while and now it's finally September's kit!! I LOVE navy blue (well, really any blue) and the awesome ledger paper and flowered paper in this kit are to die for! Here's a peek at the kit :)

I seemed to have been on a flower theme while I was putting this together so the add-on kit is very "rosey" (hee hee)

And last but not least the Solids Pack. I love how much extra flexibility I have now that there's a range of solid colours to go with each kit. It seemed like there was always just one solid colour missing before. Now there a how range to choose from that still match the kit :) My pages just seem to keep going together faster!

Hope you love this kit as much as I do!!

More Miscellaneous Layouts

These were some cute photos taken one of the first times Brody ever when crazy on a leftover container of chips. Almost all the papers, ribbons, etc are just miscellaneous things from my piles of scrapbooking stuff. I saw a layout on http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/ that was similar the first page so I expanded it into a two page spead.

More Random Photos

Since I've continued to work through the pile of random photos, I found this adorable batch of Evan and Brad :) I used an old K & Company paper pad I'd gotten from Michael's a couple years ago. The blue went perfectly with the sleeper.

I got to use my big scallop die (kinda hard to see - near the bottom) and my cool new boarder punch "footlights". This page went together pretty fast because I had so many coordinating pieces from this collection. It was almost like working from the kits. There was a great layout in one of my magazines similar to this so I switched it up a bit and made it into a two page spread. Every time I cut a picture in half for a two page spread I remember the pain of the very first picture I every trimmed... LOL!

Jack & Jill is Here!!

So August's kit is called Jack & Jill and it is totally PACKED with stuff. This may be the biggest kit I've sold so far. I made tons of pages and I think the video is pretty cute too :) Check it out...

Here's one of the other pages I made with it...

Random Pages

Well, I'm almost getting around to one year since I took over the online store... My statsh of leftovers is also quite large so I've been trying to use them up. Here's an extra pages I made from leftovers :)

Almost everything for this page is from the Sweet & Leafy Collection but I added the buttons and the big "GROW" letters from my own statsh. The tag is from a really old collection called Cotton Candy. I love this picture with my boys' little heads poking out :) I can't get both of them on my lap anymore!! They're getting big faster than I ever thought was possible. When they were little, everyone told me it would go so fast & all I could feel was "Whew... I hope so!!" Now I'm sad that I don't have little babies to cuddle :) However, they are becoming such facinating people. It's amazing to me that they are so tall (even if Brody complains about how short he is... *genetics*) and so capable!

When Brody was little, he LOVED the camera! Brad would follow him around taking pictures and Brody would always try to grab the camera to "See Bodie!" It was funny when Brad's mom used an old film camera. He couldn't understand a camera that didn't show you the photo as soon as it was taken :) These funny face shots were from a camera grabbing session. Also, these papers and stickers were part of a free kit from My Mind's Eye (still LOVE free stuff!). This page was a breeze to put together! It only took about 20 minutes!

Barefoot & Bliss Page

Here's yet another page I made with the Barefoot & Bliss collection. I got myself a whole bunch of new Sissix dies and am uber excited about them all (hee hee...) I'm totally in love with my new huge scallop border die and keep using it on everything. To make the big holes in each scallop I used a 1" circle punch. Because it's kinda hard to see where you're punching, I made a pencil dot in the center of each scallop and then lined to dot up in the middle of my circle punch to make sure my circles were centered in the scallop. The large label die I used for journaling is new too. I made the white oval shape by first cutting a rectangle and then sliding each end into a 1 3/4" circle punch to round off the ends. You can cut only one end of a piece of paper by turning the punch over, then sliding your paper in from the punch area. Maybe I'll have to make a video featuring that one of these days :)

Barefoot & Bliss is Here!

This month's collection features all that fun beachy stuff :) BoBunny's Barefoot & Bliss Collection.

And here's this month's video as well. The shakers on the first layout were fun :) I loved the idea of saving some sand from the beach.

Diaper Cake

So, one of the girls at work had a baby and I decided that what she really needed was diapers. One of the previous Created with Paper designers, Tammy, had made some really cute diaper cakes, so I looked up the old post on her blog. (Here)

Here's my version!

June's Collection - Sweet & Leafy

As usual, I've been having a fabulous time working on kit layouts instead of doing housework :) I think my laundry pile may have reached critical mass so I don't think I can avoid it any longer. Regardless, I've got more layouts!! Wanna see? Check out this month's video too!

So enough moping! Wanna see what I made?

More Alphabet Soup Leftovers

This has really been my favorite kit so far. I just can't seem to stop making pages with it :) Even layouts that don't start with this kit seem to get a few bits of it added in.... Here's my latest layouts with it.
