8x8 Album - Using up kit Leftovers

Although, sadly, it has been several years (5!!!) since our trip to Florida, I have not finished the scrapbook of the trip... I got just over half way through the photos and then was diverted to other projects :) My accumulation of kit leftovers is also growing so I thought I would put all those leftovers to use and finish an album too! Lookie what I made :)

This first kit was made using the leftovers from the Alphabet Soup collection and (how perfect is this??) the chipboard sheet of embellishments included a monkey! The orangutan in the show was very cute & funny and I loved how these pictures went with the kit.

Next I attacked my Timepiece left overs to come up with a two page spread for photos of the streets of Universal Studios. The feeling of real streets was so cool. Each street was like steping into another time and place... Cool! I loved how all the brick coordinated with the colours in this kit.

Timepiece Projects

April's kit is "Timepiece" by Bo Bunny and since clocks are one of the passions I seem to have inhereited from my mother, this kit was instantly on my list :) I still haven't used the big clock die cut sheet because every time I think about cutting it, I'm sad... It will have be to the perfect page before I can actually use it. LOL!

The add-on kit includes the chipboard clocks, so again... big hit with me :)

Here are a couple layouts I made after finishing the video...

Alphabet Soup

I have been dying to work with this kit... It was boxed up on my shelf waiting for March to come along and every time I'd look at it, I would think "Ohhh, I can't wait to play with that!!" Now I've finally got my chance! Wanna see what I made?

This layout makes me realize how much my boys have grown & changed... They both LOVED this tricycle.

And all of us have been waiting for the phone to ring... there's going to be a new neice/cousin arriving any day. Here's the baby card I made for her.

Another Month, Another Kit!!

Here is February's kit... Just when winter was getting me down (it's been really, really cold here) I am suddenly enthused about taking pictures of my kids playing outside! Is it a sudden change of body temperature? Is it an miracle change of attitude?... No, just the new Midnight Frost collection :) It has my most favorite colour in it... BLUE! Many colours of blue... from a pale blue called Frost to a Navy blue called Dark Denim. Gorgeous!

So anyway, enough rambling... Here's February's Midnight Frost collection and the associated video. Enjoy!

Also, here's the Add-On kit:

Union Square

I've been holding on to this one for quite a while!! I had a $1.99 cookie sheet for a loooooong time just waiting for me to have time for this project. January's Union Square collection seemed like just the right one :) This kit is soo me. I love all the vintage touches and who doesn't like glitter?

Hope you enjoy.
