Last Card in the Open House Trio

Apparently I'm having a thing about card sets :) Here's the last card in my trio for the Open House. (see August 26th post). This card is in the Silhouette style.

My sister teased me about having the Open House just so I could have an excuse to make so much fun stuff... I think she might be right :D

On each card I wanted to show a different decoration for the scallop edge, so this card has holes punched in each scallop.

Ingredients:

Card Trios

After convention last summer I was so excited about the Batty for You set. I made a really cute trio of 3x3 cards with it. (see http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/692047?cat=500&ppuser=65553) When I saw the new Halloween Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the Fall 2008 catalogue, I had to make them again. Slightly different than last year... I love googly eyes!

Ingredients:

Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Ghostly Greetings DSP - paper; Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Basic Black - ink; Batty for you - stamp set; Basic Black grosgrain ribbon, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, googly eyes - accessories;

After thinking about how much I loved the look of the trio I got the brain wave that a trio of Christmas ones would be cute too! So here it is!

Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Holiday Treasures DSP, Windsor Knot DSP - paper; Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Baja Breeze - ink; Deer Friends (hostess) - stamp set; Chocolate Chip polytwill ribbon, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch - accessories;

Open House Party

There's gonna be a PARTY! I love doing Open House parties. I get to plan a lot further in advance so I have time to make cool stuff! I'm so excited about the Style Watches in the new catalogue so I've decided to do three displays with samples, etc. in each style. Part of the gift for each person attending is a little card set. I've only finished the two styles so far.

Eastern Eclectic
Ingredients:

Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, Very Vanilla - paper; Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, So Saffron - ink; Embrace Life - stamp set; Crop-a-dile, Scallop edge punch, Colluzle, blender pen - accessories;

You can't see it very well, but the scallop edge on this card has embossed circles from the crop-a-dile in each scallop. These cards are 2 1/2" x 3".

Sweet Bella

Ingredients:

Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Whipser White, Bella Rose DSP - paper; Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron - ink; Dreams du Jour - stamp set; Scallop edge punch, White gel pen, Chocolate Chip marker, blender pen - accessories;

Using set in Unobvious ways

Good morning again! I had a few minutes last night & I already had my Deer Friends set(hostess) out & wanted to make something unusual with the set. Most of the images are Christmas themed, but I thought this would make a good birthday card. I loved how it turned out. What do you think?

Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP - paper; Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose - ink; Deer Friends, All Holiday - stamp sets; Soft Subtles buttons, white gel pen, Scallop Edge punch, Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, 1/2" circle punch - accessories;

This was definely the card of punches!! I used 6 just on this card :) I also tried a different fold for this card. The front edge was folded back to make the pink strip down the center. Only halft of the scalloped circle is adhered to the card front & the other half rest of over the inside of the card.
I totally love trying to make something with a set that is themed for something different. I've been eyeing up the Sock Monkey set to see if I can come up with something a little different.
